She enjoyed baking, taking care of her pets, Minnesota sports teams, especially the Twins and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Izzie was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and was active in its ladies group and was a 4-H leader. Izzie started working as a Nurse's Aide at the Zumbrota Nursing Home and worked until she reached 75 years old. In 1972 they moved off the farm and into Zumbrota.
